ode to a new week
Well a new week has started once again. I am excited because last week was hell. I was never happier to see a Friday afternoon than last week. I had two papers due on Wednesday, a presentation on Wednesday, a career fair on Wednesday, a test on Friday, and an application due on Friday as well. I am so grateful to put that behind me.
This week should be better though as I don't have anything due. However, I have to do a presentation next week in another class and my group is slack. Well its my fault too. I should have taken the reins and gotten us together soon, but as last week's schedule shows I wasn't exactly screwing around. Anyways though, we were suppose to meet on Sunday at hte library. Apparently a chunk of my group decided they'd meet a the Union instead. Bitches. Then they apparently made plans. Well I am really uncomfortable with that because it doesn't sound like they are doing anything interesting or fun. Our presentation has the potential to be really powerful and its something i'm very interested in. I want it to be great, not good, but great. Some people went to talk to our professor this morning and we have class today so hopefully we can meet a few minutes after class and get some things straight. Then they want to meet Friday at 3? Um... we need to clearly meet before then. I'm sorry, but our presentation is next Monday or Wednesday. We need to meet another day this week earlier and get things hammered out. Boo to them.
The weekend was fun and very fast. Friday I went out with Brandon. We began the night at Goldies where we encountered Erica, Sergio, and Isabel. That was very random. After a few drinks, we headed to Top of the Hill. I'd never been there so that was nice. I ordered this really pretty and tasty drink called "The Color of Money". I was very excited about it. After that we took ourselves over to the Library. Yes, yes we were all over the place that night. At the end we were all tipsy (some of us drunk and you know who you are) so we stumbled on home. Saturday I went to work, did homework, watched the game, and saw a movie. I saw "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". It was fun, just not too thought provoking. Still... it was good to get out of my room. Sunday was mostly work an dmetings. But I did get to hang out with Austin. That was a fun surprise. He wanted to go to Marshalls/Kohls which we did. Oh the experience of shopping with Austin. I shake my head. He's so funny sometimes. Afterwards I took him to breakfast at Ramshead. After that I met up with Vernon to have brunch on Franklin. He is a trip and we basically laughed the whole time. Like I said meetings followed that, then I rushed home for hte Desperate Housewives premiere. Oh how fabolous that was.
Now the cycle has started over again. I'm at work on a Monday morning and its time to begin the week again.
